Brookfield Zoo doctor to share insights at library

Brookfield Zoo veterinarian Jen Langan will share and discuss her job as health-care provider to wide array of exotic animals in a program Sunday, Nov. 16, at the La Grange Public Library.

Dr. Langan's presentation, View to a Zoo: A Vet's View of the Brookfield Zoo, runs from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Admission is free and no advance registration is required.

Anecdotes will include her recollection of treating a sick polar bear, an experience that was featured in a book, The Rhino with Glue-On Shoes: And Other Surprising True Stories of Zoo Vets and their Patients, published this past summer by Delacorte Press.
