35th craft fair opens today in downtown La Grange

The 35th annual arts and craft fair opens for business at 9:00 a.m. this morning with some 200 artists offering their creations for sale along the streets of downtown La Grange.

Saturday's fair runs until 6:00 p.m. and continues Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The event's organizers estimate that some 12,000 visitors attend the show each year.

If the promoter is going to be allowed to bring in a lot of food vending as she did this year, she should be required to set up an eating area with tables and lots of garbage containers on the sidewalk to avoid trash being dropped on the street.
