Thanks for the update. I know that transcribing is a lot of work if PDLG didn't give you a copy of their response, but I sure would have preferred reading about it than having to listen to Mary Ellen Penicook.

I did not specifically ask Dean, but I believe that this response would be appropriate for posting on the PDLG web site under the policy adopted (IIRC) two months ago.

Given that the response was read aloud, I'd be astounded if it were not available upon request from the PDLG (perhaps Thom has requested it already). I'd be pretty surprised if you don't see a PDF of it pretty soon.

Thanks Chris - I'll look forward to seeing it in either place.

Chris,
The park district's monthly check run of what vendors get how much money should be posted on the PDLG website. This is available in the meeting room during meetings, but labeled "do not remove from meeting room?".
It's the people's money, not the boards money. All taxpayersr have a RIGHT to see how their money is spent. My PDLG taxes are not optional.
If the PDLG is proud of all their expenditures, they need to be posted.
Most importantly, it will create competition with PDLG Vendors and expose potential corruption or conflicts of interest.
