"A study to determine whether converting 47th St from four lanes to three will help improve traffic and pedestrian safety . . . . The board unanimously authorized KLOA, a traffic engineering firm, to conduct a multi-faceted study . . . . KLOA [previously] recommended consideration of the three-lane configuration after observing that the reduced speed limits along 47th St often were ignored."

Is this simply a way to obtain the results they've already decided they want or is there a reason that La Grange needs to find more ways to waste taxpayer dollars?
